  1. With the Monarch Park stadium opening there is a really good opportunity for local business to attract the ‘post sport’ crowd. I play in several leagues and quite often going out for drinks and some food after the game is as important as the game itself. Teams tend to choose places like the Firkins or The Brazen Head or Shoeless Joes,.. pubs, sports bars etc. One very attractive offer for any team is a free plate of natchos or other snack if there is a team group of some minimum number (6 or 8). If any business in the area is willing to make such an offer I’d be happy to help spread the word among the ladies soccer league. Hopefully having this facility in our neighborhood will translate into having more bums in seats at restaurants and overall improvement to our neighborhood economy.
