The Market This Week: Dinner, Storytime and Pegasus

Come for the produce, stay for dinner!  To make sure you have enough time in your day for a trip to your favourite local market, why not let the market take care of dinner planning and spend the whole evening at the park.  No need to pack a picnic yourself, a number of farmers and vendors would love to serve you dinner!  The full list of farmers and vendors can be found on our website.

The featured winery this week is Tawse Winery from Vineland, Ontario.

At 4:30 p.m. Toronto Public Library will be hosting storytime for the little ones. Please pull up a piece of grass and enjoy!  DECA Tree will be back this week with information about the adopt-a-tree program for the new trees planted in the park and general tree health.

Join Pegasus Studios at the Market! Pegasus Studios will be set up from 3:30-6:30. Visit their table to learn more about what Pegasus offers for young dancers, artists, actors and musicians. They are focused on the healthy development of children in a positive and fun environment. After the Story Time, at 5:15, Pegasus director, Jane Davis-Munro and faculty will pass on some of their most popular dance activities for healthy brain development, coordination and fun fitness. Parents, will learn invaluable activities to do with their young ones at home to keep their mind and body active with dance!

  1. We love to visit the market, but are always disappointed to miss the kids programing. Could you please consider running the programming twice? Once at 4:30 for the stay at home parents, and once at 6:30 for the working parents?
