Thursday is market day!
We have some new farmers and new items at the market this year including: eggs, flowers, organic vegetables, chicken and beef and maybe rabbit…you’ll have to come to find out.
There will be the ever-popular face painting tent and kids’ events every week at 4.30 p.m. Melissa — one of our new Farmerlicious Femmes — is organizing a crafts table for kids every other week starting next week. Look for the flyer with details.
New this year – there will be food – not just to take home -but to eat on the spot. Local restaurants will be there every Thursday – starting with Cozy Cafe and Columbo’s Pizza. So come, shop, see your neighbours and then settle down for a picnic dinner!
While this week is the first market, our grand opening celebration is next week, June 9. There will be clowns, music, a ribbon cutting (4:30 p.m.) and the unveiling of some new festival games, made by the fabulous local designer and DECA member, Jon Isaac.
