This Saturday July 7th, from 10am to 10pm, you are in for a treat! Grab a friend or two and head down to Danforth Avenue to enjoy a neighbourhood street party. Leave your car at home! 👣 🚲 Danforth Avenue will be closed all day/evening between West Lynn Avenue and Woodbine. Bring a chair and a water bottle and plan to stay… cause we’ll be dancing, 🎵 dancing in the street 🎶.
This day long party kicks off with a Teddy Bear 🐻 Picnic hosted by DECA from 10am to noon. Bring a blanket, and a snack, or pick up some street food from Face to Face Games. Don’t forget your favourite bear 🐾. We’ll have free activities: Games & prizes 🍭, stories and face painting! We’ll also have a free water bottle refilling station. And just for fun, there will be a puppet show at 11:30 am, courtesy of the Danforth Mosaic BIA and a giant bubble demonstration one the sidewalk outside Silly Goose from 11am-noon. To find the Teddy Bear Picnic, look for a life sized bear and grass sprouting on Danforth 🌸. We will be picnicking on Danforth Avenue!
