A big thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this weekend’s arts fair in East Lynn Park a huge success! The 10th anniversary edition of the Danforth East Arts Fair, #DECAF18 (we sneak a silent “c” in the hashtag for “community”), by the numbers:
- 100% of the fair is volunteer-run and profits go back into other DECA projects that make the ‘hood more vibrant, walkable and safe
- 65 amazing vendors brought the park alive (check out the whole list here)
- 31 of your neighbours volunteered dozens of hours make #DECAF18 happen
- 5 generous sponsors helped DECA pay the bills (thanks Fresh Paint Studio + Cafe website, Juliette Fergus, Lisa Okun, MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith website and DeSerres)
- 5 rockin’ musical acts kept your ears happy
- 4 fabulous performing arts schools delighted your eyes
- 4 artists won prizes (Among the Pines took home Best in Show; Best Returning Vendor went to Morgan Wolfe Grant; Best New Vendor was Nathan Nun Art; People’s Choice was awarded to Harold & Ollie Designs)
- 3 local gems ran kids’ crafts all weekend (thank you Silly Goose Kids Facebook, Pegasus Studios and DeSerres)
