In the Community tent, Woodgreen and Club Sandwich will be available to answer any questions. For more than 80 years, Woodgreen has offered more than 75 different programs for seniors, adults, youth and families that help improve the well-being of the community. Club Sandwich provides sandwiches for nine east end area missions.
Did you know that “pollen pants” is a name for the bright blobs of pollen you see on a honey bee’s hind legs after foraging? But Pollen Pants Honey is a small, family-owned apiary in Orangeville, specializing in wildflower honey. Pollen Pants Honey will be at the market this week, along with Wholesome DeeLights, bringing their small-batch goodies crafted from natural ingredients.
In the kids’ zone, kids get to play! Silly Goose is planning to bring a Gravitrax game table, similar to a marble run. Meanwhile, Pegasus Dance Studios is excited to share some fun dance themed crafts, books and activities at this week’s market. Drop by for a visit to participate and learn more about their programs. From toddlers taking their first steps to teens and seniors finding joy in movement, Pegasus Dance Studios has been in the east end of Toronto for 39 years and inspires creativity, confidence, and connection through dance and the arts.
Kidpreneur is Thready or Knot selling crochet items and handmade bracelets. A portion of profits goes to Sick Kids.
Multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter, Leanne Dixon, is at the market this week. Leanne is a one-woman band who performs covers as well as her own original music. Playing cello, guitars, keyboards, drums, she’s eclectic, energetic, interactive, and fun.
Featured brewery this week is Muddy York, family-run since 2013. Look out for Gaslight Helles Lager, their flagship beer that’s known as one of the province’s best brews.
