Ultra cool volunteer opportunities

The Art of the Danforth has been successful is securing some important grants. (Including the Toronto Arts Council, which initially turned it down because  they didn’t think anyone would come out and participate. DECA members helped to amass a pile of supportive letters which argued the case and the TAC overturned it’s decision.  Yay DECA!)  Applications for major projects are in and this amazing art walk/ongoing community project is moving forward with all the momentum of a space shuttle.  Next up – we need some help in many capacities, from historical research to designing displays and web content to creating photography mosaics.  Below is the plea from organizer, Cindy Rozeboom (info@artsimperative.ca)

Volunteers Needed!

Now that we have a plan, we need people to help make it happen!  Below you’ll find a list of tasks we desperately need help with.  If you can contribute a little — or a lot — of your time, you will be instrumental in making the Art of the Danforth a success in its first year.  Not only that, but I, personally, that is to say me Cindy, will love you forever.  Or at least until I forget (just kidding – I’ll NEVER forget!)

So please,  inject some good karma into your New Year and donate a little time to making our neighbourhood more artsy.  If you are interested in taking on any of the tasks below (or can think of other help you can offer), please let me know and I’ll put you to work.

Thank you again – this event could, quite literally, not happen without you!

Here’s to a great 2010 for everyone!
