Every Sunday evening, a small group of women gather to strengthen their core, improve their posture, lengthen their muscles all while having fun at the same time. They accomplish this with the help of Pilates instructor IreneValmas.
Irene is a STOTT PILATES certified instructor with a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Toronto who lives in the area. She focuses on core strength and integrates cardiovascular elements into her workouts. She keeps her class sizes small in order to focus on each client and their specific needs.
Pilates is a low impact exercise developed to condition the entire body using certain principles which bring mind-body awareness. Your core muscles are engaged and become the stabilizing factor for each movement.
Classes run in 6 week increments. A new session starts Sunday April 19th at 7pm. Classes are held at a dance studio at Woodbine and Cosburn.
Pre-registration for 6 classes: $15 / class
Drop in rate $20/ class
All fitness levels are welcome.
