Last Thursday was an incredible market day. The weather was beautiful. The wading pool was open and there was a fabulous bit of theatre/dance/comedy up on the hill.
Just a reminder that the market is only successful if we support it. If we don’t shop there, the farmers won’t come back so shop local, shop often.
Perhaps you’re wondering about some of the farmers who make their way down to our little park each week?
Loffredo Fruit Farms is owned and operated by Angela and Matteo Russo. Loffredo Fruit Farms serves up peaches, cherries, plums and apricots. Not only do they bring delicious fresh Ontario fruit, but also delectable desserts, made by Angela each day. From apple and cherry pies to muffins and preserves, you will not be disappointed by these treats from the Niagara region.
Often, the produce you buy at the East Lynn Market was picked within the last 24 hours. Not only does the food taste better, but it’s more nutritious and you get the bonus of being able to talk to people who grow the food. They’re happy to talk to you about their farming practices and they’ve got the best recipes!
