On Monday, May 11, 2015, DECA organized a public forum to Imagine the Danforth. 100 people came out on a rainy Monday night to hear Paul Bedford present the top 10 ideas for the Danforth generated from his planning students at the University of Toronto. In addition, architecture students from Ryerson University presented their vision and development of the Danforth East Streetcar Yards (located south east of the Danforth and Coxwell.)
Both presentations may be viewed below. We are very grateful for this work.
The city has initiated a planning study of the Danforth, set to begin in 2016. What a great beginning to Imagining the future of the Danforth!

Danforth East Streetcar Yards
Presentation by a group of Ryerson University Architectural Science students. The ideas presented in this project aim to further Danforth East’s vibrant community endeavours, provide services for local residents and business owners, and to respect the heritage of the site. We hope that this will ignite an initiative to protect public interest on this valuable and historic site.
